Lion's Eye - Tricliceras lacerata

Unread postby AdrianFW » Tue Jan 07, 2014 3:05 pm

Hello,

As a keen gardener I became aware of the range and diversity of South African flora many years ago. I have many favourite plants that I grow here in the UK that remind me of events, people and places. As I sense the northern spring is very slowly coming I am starting to prepare for the coming season. (The first snowdrops are flowering - earlier than I can remember for many years).

One plant I would love to add to my collection of South African plants is Lion's Eye (Tricliceras lacerata).

It reminds me so much of early summer in Kruger as I've often seen it blazing away at the road side.

Does anybody know a source for the seeds for this plant? I have searched all the specialist seed suppliers in the UK and drawn a blank. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Adrian

Have you tried Silverhill?
