These are plants that I saw in Kgalagadi in September 2007. Can anyone help with ID?

3. I saw this very low to the ground plant/shurb at Auchterlonie.

#3 is most likely in the Aptosimum spp. According to my book (Flowering Plants of the Kalahari Dunes by Noel van Rooyen) there are 11 species in this genera in KTP. The book only lists 4, so I won't hazard a guess as to which it is. Aptosimum is in the Scrophulariaceae (Snapdragon family).

I've googled a bit and I'm guessing it may be Aptosimum procumbens. I think that this plant, which I saw at Augrabies, might be the same ... or at least an Aptosimum ?
