Yes, Impala lilies thrive in hot and dryer circumstance. As much as possible direct sunlight and water must be limited. It most often dies because of rot, caused by too much water. It has a bulbous root system, which provides enough water in dry circumstance. Sandy soils is great, since it prevents water from gathering around the roots.

Please help me with the id of this plant? I've tried Google, but could only find Impala and Swazi lilies. Does this plant belong to the same group?
