Spotted my first Caracal in Kruger recently!! :dance: :D We were heading down the voortrekker road. I could not believe my eyes! Sat with it for about 40min before the approach of another car scared it off.

Do remember you don't have to go to Kruger to see a caracal. In about 20 visits, I have never seen one there! Kgalagadi yes, Addo yes, apparantly West Coast NP yes. A few weeks ago I even saw one cross the road at Helderberg College in Somerset West, and a friend Dwight Juby, saw another one about 1 km from there a bit higher up on the mountain at the same time.
So keep your eyes open wherever you are!

I was just going through the Caracal thread to see if I had posted a particular photo. I found this picture that I am re-posting as I think it is really quite remarkable.

Really special caracal shots!
Saw 3 of them in 2 days in Addo beginning of this month, but no decent shots...
