Saw three of them this past May. One on the H1-9 (not far from Pafuri gate), the second one on the H13-1 near the S58-turn-off and the third one on the Mahonie Loop (S99).

13 Nov 2005, 07:00 AM-ish (according to meta-data of the pic)...
Was on the S44, right by the side of the road, and really posing for us. We had just left Olifant's look-out and were making our way up North along the Letaba river road.

*/edit: Had equally brilliant sightings of SG end of September this year, on 2 consecutive days on the Kanniedood loop, but the weather was dull and grey, and the buck was skittish. So I didn't even bother to try and take pics... I just sat and watched. 8)

On the sunset/night drives at Punda it is usually a case of 'Oh - another of those 'rare' antelopes....!' rather than 'Oh - impala!'.......

In 30 years I've never seen a Grysbok - partly because we seldom travel up North (still want to - but getting the wife to agree - EISH)... and partly because we might have mistaken many a Grysbok for Steenbok....

Then in August this year my son (he turned 3 at the end of August) shouted "BOKKIE" ... I slam on the breaks.... reverse....search a while... and would you believe it... there is this little Grysbok (I must look for the pic and post it :wall: ) - he was so proud when I told him its the first one I've ever seen.

This was on the H10 near the Nkumbe viewpoint... I was under the impression that you only find them North of Letaba - but this was close to Tshokwane -

In a space of about 4 km's we saw Steenbok, Grysbok, Duiker and Klipspringer - amazing!!!

Unfortunately, this is a Sharpe's Grysbok.
