Good afternnon fellow forumites

Been thiniking about posting this thread for a while. When I was in the KNP over Dec/Jan I saw a few interesting animals-single horned Impala, and one that had a horn going rather horizontally rather than vertically. Also saw a few elephants with only one tusk. And for those fortunate to have seen Duke will all be ready to post photos of him with only one tusk which was broken. Two years ago I saw a tail-less elephant. There is also a posting on the forum of an elephant with a short trunk.
A bit of research has shown that sightings of a single horned Buffalo has been made, as well as a single horned Roan and I have seen a single horned Sable, though not in the KNP.
I will try and post my photos of the horizontal horned impala, (i'm still struggling with this) and the tail-less elephant.
Let's have some sightings of such unusual/abnormal animals-Now a single eared elephant would be quite something! A tail-less lion would not be enjoyable?

Thanks for that DotDan. Did not know about that-last I saw a photo of him on the forum he had half-more like a quarter tusk still left.

Oops, it worked this time!

I have seen quite a few single horned impala - I think the horns break when the males are fighting. Saw one with a horn dangling obviously just broken.

A photo would be nice There must be such power in these fights to break a horn.

I don't have any with a 'dangling' horn - but will keep a lookout for animals to photograph! I should have a one-horned impala photo somewhere....will have to search. I've got a one-horned kudu too somewhere....

CC - saw the zeb near the beginning of the S100 with a group that crossed the road in front of me. I did not notice anything strange about her walk at that point - she must have been almost incapacitated for a while so it is amazing that she was not picked off while injured, especially in that part of the park!

Someone showed me a video he had taken earlier that day of a tailless lion

I have a pic of a dagga bul without both his horns on the S100. Will go look it up for posting. Nice to see all the diffrent animals in this thread.

We were in the park begining Dec last year on the Voortrekker Rd (from Pretoriuskop side) and saw a buffalo with a "stompie" got photos but don't know how to post it? help anyone?
