We once had a wonderful experience about 6 years ago - on the tar road north of Lower Sabie, just past the Lubye Lubye bridge, the little loop with a Sausage tree; it was late afternoon .. we were watching a herd of Buffalo crossing the road, and we had just seen some Lion in the river bed, who were obviously following the Buffalo, when a lady in the car next to us shouted "daar's 'n Luiperd!", and the Leopard jumped up into the Sausage tree. The foliage of the tree was quite thick at that
time, but we could just see that the Leopard actually had a kill in the tree. Unfortunately, we had to leave the scene as it was gate closing time, but we did manage to see the Leopard again first thing the next morning. It was a very misty morning, and he came down into the crook of the tree for a few moments, whilst we were parked in the loop and managed to get a nice shot of him on video before he jumped out of the tree and walked down toward the river. We did also
get some of the action on the previous afternoon on video.
