A female in the Ross pride gave birth to a white cub a few months ago. The Ross pride is named after the farm, which straddles Argyle Road and is thus partly in the Klaserie and partly in the Timbavati.

A white lion was seen on the tar road between Klaserie and Orpen Gate.

My reading is that the last confirmed sighting of a white lion (wild) was 1994. Maybe someone had a few too many Windhoek :wink:

Reading the comments "They crossed from Sandringham to Andover, owners etc were alerted. I am still waiting to hear if the lions have been retrieved"

So they were not REAL wild lions they had escaped. Was really hoping real wild white lion had returned to the wild. Oh well we can live in hope.
