Wild about Cats,
Yes you have seen Mighty Craic. ID by his tusks, collar and area. I was doubting a bit because of his right ear, but on your photo the little hole is not visible. Enlarging the picture did not help, but looking at the structure of his right ear I am sure it's him.

Good to see more activity again here, was quiet for some time.
Thanks all for sending photos to me, nice challenge to update several tusker pages again. !!

Guinea Pig,
Thanks for sending the pics  and happy I could help a bit with ID'ing
New for me is that Ngodzi is listed now at Letaba Hall :D :)

[quote="Guinea Pig"]We saw one of the current Big 10 as listed at the Elephant Hall and an upcoming tusker.

Ngodzi. Seen between Olifants and Letaba. One of the Big 10

Madzopfurini. Seen at Mopani. The upcoming "youngster"

I had to Edit my post, Aat! DuQues made a photo at the Elephant Hall with his camera of the elephant that looked like the one we saw. We and the staff thought it was Ngonyama - one of the Big 10. We had already downloaded the photo's onto the portable hard disk so couldn't compare. When I checked your site at home, I realized it was Ngodzi. The left tusk is shorter not curved like Ngonyama's. Ngodzi is still not a big boy. Sorry bout that!

Guinea Pig,
ok... no problem at all, was just wondering :) :)
Letaba Hall info is not really up-to-date regarding emerging tuskers

Mavumbye was just seen at the Satara watering point on Webcam - unfortunately the irrational swinging of the camera from L to R and zooming in and out combined with the long delay of posting a scene, made it impossible for several viewers to capture him properly.

Not an irrational swinging of the camera, 100ponder.
Please see the rationale for the touring/auto angle here.

Altho I do not have time to watch the cams often, I also find the "movement" frustrating -- just when I'm seeing something interesting, the cam changes angle and the sighting is lost  Altho your link states that when there is "activity" the cam will not change angles, I have never found this to be so. Just another reason why I watch the cams so infrequently.

We would not have had (and sorry for going off topic in this thread) such wonderful close ups without the angles changing and I do miss you posting @cams, Arks.

@ ALL

Another collared tusker added to the site
He is collared by STE (Save the Elephants) and named by them: INTWANDAMELA
This means : "he who greets you with fire in his eyes"

Good day Aat
It has been a long time for me to post a tusker. I need some help with this one. During my visit to Kruger the past December I did not see many thet would fit the bill for Tusker. This was the only one I thought might.
Just outside Shingwedzi. Not the best pictures I know but he wouldnt let me get more.

Can you ID him?
