Wow! Close call! Its amazing the way when you see one animal a lot it seems to reveal itself even in areas where its supposed to be rare! Enjoy your sightings because the bushpig, the striped weasel, blackfooted cat and the hedgehog are the South African land mammals that elude me in the wild even though ive been in prime bushpig habitat! :thumbs_up:

Well Bushcraft it's all relative, because as you know we saw Serval at Skuks in March, but I would dearly love to see a Bushpig!!! :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Each time a spot a wartie, I do a double take just to check that it isn't a Bushpig. (Not to mention a Pangolin!!) :whistle:

Bushcraft it seems they are not shy at all :D
can they be dangerous (like Warthog) ? no tusk :hmz:

They are more dangerous than Warthogs. They do have knife like tusks that can do alot of damage to the legs.

Hi all

We saw 3 beautiful bushpigs over the weekend in Natures Valley.

I posted pics earlier on this topic of a bushpig in the same area. The old grey boar with the one eye is still there. The first time we saw him was in 2007.
