Lovely, Sawubona  I haven't seen reedbuck in so long that it is quite silly really! Are there specific areas that one should look closely for them, or are they widespread?

(Have you started your TR, BTW?)

I think near Satara you will see them, as we saw them twice.

Thanks Sawubona  Will try there. I also know a lot of people say the H10, but maybe I've been unlucky there regarding reedbuck sightings recently.

Pretoriuskop's dirt road loops south of the camp are good for spotting reedbuck too, and Shitlave dam. :cam:

The Mopani/Tzendze area is also a brilliant area for Reedbuck. Apart from being a premier carnivore area it also is the best area for the less common antelope species which are also well represented. Reedbuck are best viewed on the Eastern Plains out of these 2 camps at all of the Shawu Windmills. Normally they announce your arrival with their shrill whistle call

Thanks indeed Jane!  Strange that the Mopani area is usually considered a poor game-viewing area in general!

We always get our Reedbuck customers around Nshawu waterholes… on our last visit we saw 5 there in one morning (one being caught by 4 cheetahs!)

We had another two sightings at the Nshawu waterholes in July 2010!! It is the place to be if you are looking for them!
