The following from wikipedia

Quote:
Image
Yellow ribbon
Soldier Support
Bone cancer / Osteosarcoma[18]
Giving prisoners a second chance at life[19]
Suicide Prevention[20][21]
Endometriosis awareness[22]
Craniofacial acceptance (CCAKids.org)[23]
Remembering Black Saturday Bushfire victims[24]
Cory Aquino's Death[citation needed]

We need to remember that the yellow ribbon in that form is already in use when we do our designs.

Just in case this causes you any confusion ...
You may use a yellow ribbon in your logo design, however it cannot be that shape

I doubt that any of us will get any flak from the other instances that are using a yellow ribbon. After all, this is a non profit organization whose only interest is protecting nature. Not one of us is benefiting from the use of any shape of yellow ribbon. If anyone feels aggrieved if we use the ribbon in its present form, please join the forum and communicate with us.

@Lion Queen. I do have my doubts about the third group of yellow ribbon users though and that is 'giving prisoners (which automatically includes poachers) a second chance'. If someone can dig up an example of their yellow ribbon, then we have to create something totally opposite to that.

Thanks Rooies

Although my personal opinion is that it would be nicer if we could have our own yellow ribbon shape on our logo as opposed to the common shape 8)

Some very good ideas have been coming through, but we have been going forwards and backwards for too long now. Why don't we vote for a shortlist and the vote again for the final one. (I wish I was more creative but the only drawing I can make is noughts and crosses in a bowl of sand)

I for one am still designing though
And there are Mites that only submitted ideas and now other Mites need to convert those into wonderful designs

I always place my yellow ribbon on my car so dont think I am against it, but in the furture might we go for our logo design on a yellow mirror sock instead? and then the yellow ribbon might become less of a symbol than it is now? just a thought?
