No wonder Cheetah like the logo, that looks more like a cheetah print than a lion's. A lion's claws don't show on their footprints. (sorry if I’m being too technical) But I like the look of the badge! Pity about the kudu horns thou... Sorry to touch the eviction thing again, but can't we evict the impala or for that matter the lion, for a pic of a whale or a shark or a dolphin, something that represent the parks that's located next to the coast and will bring attention to the marine part of things as well. We've got problems with poaching of abalone and other marine life as well. A whale is in any case one of our big 6 and sharks have been so active these days they might as well be recognized for it... What do you guys think?

I also like the orange background idea, makes me already think of a sundowner with amarula, and it’s only 10’o clock now.….

I do like your thinking about the Coastal Parks Dan.

But my opinion is that there are too many elements in this logo. It does look fantabulagreat and I would wear one with pride on a T-shirt I love the white shield on the yellow background! But when this is printed small as a logo, the details of the animals will get lost. We do not need a logo with everything that the forums stands for in the logo. It must just be strikingly effective

It is only my opinion though, Perhaps if this is printed small it will be marvelous!
But compliments to the designer for a good idea

What I could try and do for you, is to give the big picture and then re-size it smaller to see how much of the details will be lost. 7cm x 7cm?? or would you like smaller??

If you ask me Cheetah just want his print on the logo and want to get rid of the rest... But ja, good idea LQ, just remind Cheetah that if he views it on his Black Berry he will have to zoom in, it will not be the actual size. And if he has any requests for beer cans on the logo, please refer him to SAB for a proper Black Label design...

Whenever there is a decent discussion going on, these pink calf supporters must always try and highjack the idea ( Can we have a special design for these nuts that will keep them happy in their little corner?? )

I think the design is an excellent starting point, but its too busy at this time to be printed or embroidered in a small format - the details will be lost.

I think a great design needs to have a single item that stands out - and the unifying theme of the Forum is that we all share a love for Nature, in whatever shape or form we see it, be it animals, marine life, flora or insects

The challenge therefore is to find an emblem that is easily recognisable, is striking and depicts nature in all its forms (I have absolutely no idea

How about including the famous yellow ribbon? And what about insect sector like a dung beetle or butterfly? and perhaps an Amarula on ice?

The yellow ribbon is on the bull's horn , but the rhino print stepped on the dung beetle and now only the dung is left, and they don't want to do a pic of dung. Amarula is good, it goes with the orange sunset background we suggested but we're running out of space. Maybe we should just put the letters AA somewhere....??
