hello forumites

yesterday 10th april was a particularly good day with my colleague Joas having a wonderful sighting of a mother leopard and cub on our morning drive. later on the sunset drive i went on to detect two male lions by their roar from 5km away. we drove to the direction of the roar only to be rewarded with two more magnificent sounds of the two african kings. it was an amazing sighting.

Hi Ras. Thanks for the stunning photos. We will be at Talamati in June and hope to have excellent sightings. I just have a question: I wanted to book a morning drive, but was told by sanparks that Talamati doesn't do morning drives (I booked a sunset drive instead). You mention in your post though that some of the sightings were on the morning drive. Please tell me I can book one of these!

Callee I am sure if there are guests interested they will certainly provide a morning drive, but let see if Ras can confirm this.
Hope you have a wonderful trip in June.

Hi
I see that Rasta doesn't work at Talamati any longer. Can anyone tell who is the new guide? I hope that he/she wants to post sightings too.
We might be interested in a night drive. (Next year). Are the sightings on the night drives from Talamati any good?

I think Patrick (ex Lower Sabie and Malelane) is there now, but not sure if he is actually head guide.

Have you read the entrance permit? Do you KNOW the Conditions of Entry?

Kleam, sightings on any of the night drives from any of the camps are completely the luck of the moment and very difficult to predict on any given night.
If you have a read through this topic tho I am sure you will see that ras had some great sightings from his time there.

It doesn't seem as if walks there are listed from the info Here
Think it depends on how many guides they have available, as they need 2 to conduct the walks.
Can maybe try and find out nearer the time.
