If you want to see Sable stay at Talamati. There are a lot down there.

So where in the Park would one then have a good chance to spot the elusive Roan Antelope? The bugger has been hiding? These animals are pretty good at hide and go seek.

Similarly the well hidden Cheetah.

Here kitty-kitty!!

By all accounts, the Tropic of Capricorn loop near Mopani is the best roan road.

Oh yes, Cheetah at Orpen, South of Satara and yesterday on the Gomondwane loop, and wild dogs, just north of croc Bridge.

Scipio/BB,

Lovely updates, or shall we say teasing of those stuck in the concrete jungle. Please don't stop now. We'll be in KNP at the end of Sept. I'm making little scribbles of all these spots where the secretive creatures have been seen.

Tick Tock!!

Would love to see a purple Lurie. Seen them all over the bird books and what not but never live.

Ran into a Honey badger in Tamboti on the way to the ablutions one evening!! Great experience to see it in the 'wild'

K-4S. Visit at Pkop, they fly around the camp duing the day, often near the shop.

We were not lucky enough to find Roan on the Tropic of Capricorn Loop in February, nor any Purple Crested Turaco at Pretoriuskop while we were staying there for 2 nights in September. :(

I don't see lions on the S100 hilda, but that doesn't mean they are not there.
