I can't remember now, but I think a 4x2 with diff lock is also allowed. Will try to find out.

Very good story and pictures!! Just the indo I'm looking for. Next year March we will do this track too during our 5 week visit to SA.

has anyone done this route. is it worthwile to do it.
i have always wondered about reenvoel dam and would like to see it.
then again, i don't want to do the trip and then find the dam dry.
any info would be appreciated.

Marius, having done the trail more than a few times I can assure you it is worth every Minute & every cent. 8)

Marius, it might be dry but, there are some other things around that is fantastic including the Olifants river. :thumbs_up:

I do not see much info on the forums regarding this trail - and we did it a year ago. Here are pics I took then.

We loved it and thought it was very scenic. Had some nice sightings along the way too.

Yes, very easy to miss. And we did. The track along the tele lines is NOT the route to go.... as we discovered after a good while when according to the gps were traveling away from the Olifants River, instead of towards it :roll:
