Try contacting Isaac.mthetwa@sanparks.org - he is the Malelane gate and camp manager and might be able to help you with a booking - or at least refer you to the correct person.

Have you read the gate leaflet? Do you KNOW the regulations?

Normana53 and others.

I have been trying to organize a Bush Braai or breakfast in October as well. I began trying in February and was told that they would know if they were being held sometime in July. I kept reaching out and have been passed around without getting an answer.

Normana 53 there will be 4 of us in our group and will be in Olifants on 10/23 and 24, Satara on 10/25,26, and 27, and Crocodile Bridge on 10/28 and 10/29 if that fits your schedule. I did a Bush Braai from Olifants in 2012 and it was the best I have ever experienced.

I am getting concerned about getting our bookings for the bush braai's I want. I sent a request in August to my travel trade contact. (no answer) Another Email said that the request had been sent to the camps and I would get the notification when they confirmed. No confirmation. Late September I sent a second request. no answer has arrived. I really, really want to do these with my family. One of them that I requested is for the first evening we get there. I also Emailed the camps with an Email I found somewhere on this site. No response from them either. We are there over the Christmas holiday time so am concerned I will never get to do the bush braais (and bush breakfast) that i want to do. Any suggestions? THANKS!

Sorry Skylinelinda, I also tried to enquire about bush braais directly with the camps, and eventually gave up as I got no response from any of the camps I tried.

Not sure if you are going to Berg en Dal or not, but one forum member kindly helped me when I was getting frustrated with this and did get confirmation for me that B n D were definitely doing bush braais. Also during our trip we visited Lower Sabie and they were advertising bush braais, not sure if this helps or not :hmz:

Would you happen to have the Email for the person who helped you? GOTTA do the bush braai!
Thanks

I will send in another request to the SANParks PR and see if they can find an answer for you.

Just done a booking for a bush braai from Letaba for Christmas evening.

R550.50 per person.

We are only two so hoping that some others will join us for the evening. Also hoping that the weather will play ball for the evening. What could make a better Christmas dinner?
