Hi Gabrielle and Elsa, I am desparate to arrange a bush braai whilst we are at Satara in September, but there are only 3 of us and I emailed the Hospitality and Duty managers at Satara trying to find out if there any bush braais already planned whilst we are there, I didn't get any response and I then emailed Wissah and as yet sill not had any response, is there any one else I can try? :hmz:

Thank you!

Not sure why you have not had a response from the address Gabrielle gave! :?
Let me see if I can find out anything further.

Hi Merlin

I have been informed that the bush braai is arranged with the camps as the guests need to go for drive first before going to the venue where the meals or braai will be served.

The guests must book with the camp and the camp will notify Wissah. Please contact the camp directly. Thanks.

Thanks Gabrielle, I started this entire process by contacting the Duty Manager and Hospitality Managers at Satara, unfortunately I didn't get a reply (and still haven't) so Elsa kindly got involved on my behalf and that is when I contacted Wissah as requested to do.

I know that I am only making an enquiry at this stage but if I were trying to make an actual booking this would be a nightmare. I do think it might help if someone checks out the process and confirms what it needs to be, I am sure this would help anyone trying to make a booking at Satara. In the meantime I think we will give up trying to arrange this bush braai from Satara and try another camp! Fingers crossed

Hi everyone
My family and I would love to experience a Bush Braai whilst at KNP in February 2015. I have been reading through this thread and would love to know which is your favourite camp for attending a Bush Braai?
Although we make up the minimum number of 4 to book we would love for others to join us :D
We will be at the following camps
Lower Sabie 11 & 12 Feb
Satara 13 & 14 Feb
Olifants 15 & 16 Feb
Skukuza 17 Feb

Many thanks for sharing... :)

Thanks Gabrielle, I also got a PM from Dinkybird which helped me out already, thanks again anyway for your efforts.

Nodrog, we have been on bush braais from Satara, Skukuza and Mopani, my vote would be for Satara, only because we saw more game there, but that's the right place right time effect. I am sure whichever one you decide on will be fantastic. Food and people we met were great on all 3
