We've just returned from a fantastic trip, and there are certain individuals I would like to single out for brilliant service:
Our first camp was Olifants on the 21st of September. Walking out to the car, I saw that my left rear tire was looking decidedly limp. I had just begun to haul out the jack and spare wheel etc, when Bennett Ndlovu
(hope I've spelt that right) arrived in a Park bakkie and proceeded to jack the vehicle up, remove the tire, put it in the back of his bakkie, take it away, repair it, then bring it back 15 minutes later and put it back on the car. He was not asked to do this, and just offered to. High praise to this man for going the extra mile!!!
We stayed in Tamboti from the Wednesday through the Friday and the 2 ladies who run the shop at Orpen were friendly, funny and an absolute joy. Well done, ladies
At Mopani on Saturday the 28th of September we went to the restaurant for dinner . We had 3 SUPERB meals, so definitely a huge thank you and hats off to the restaurant staff!! Special mention to our waiter, Obed Gezani
for friendly and highly efficient service. This experience was a true delight.
This was followed by a night drive from Mopani with our guide Amos
. I did not get his surname unfortunately, but thank you to him for a lovely experience. His knowledge and skill were impressive, and a lovely man all round.
It is wonderful to see that things are improving by leaps and bounds in KNP. Keep it up!!!
