Sunset Serenade at Letaba Camp

Unread postby Elenore B » Mon Jun 04, 2012 9:40 pm

Has anyone been to a Sunset Serenade?

My favorite memory of this event (which I have attended five time now) is the participation of the hippos. It happens every year (usually on the first night) when the performance is next to a river near the camp. They join in the music while it's playing. The best though is when the music stops. They seem to object and request that it carries on - with their snorts and grunts getting louder and more demanding!!

Please share your favorite memories of this event if you've attended.

This is on my bucket list  most definately.

I cannot think of a more beautiful experience.
The bird doesn't sing because it has answers, it sings because it has a song.
