Thought it would be interesting to see some old pictures of the KNP and see how some things have changed or not changed over the years .I unfortunately don't have any oldish photos but will try to find some to put up!

We don't have old pictures, but it will definitely be great seeing how it looked many years ago. I always hear my parents, uncle and aunts saying, the Kruger changed a lot from the olden days.

On the Sanparks photo gallery there is a group -

Phalaborwa Gate opening.
I have posted this photo somewhere else before, but here goes again, this photo was taken by my dad in (I think) 1961, I am the little one on the far left. At the time, a Mr and Mrs Wilkie were in charge of the gate, they used to visit us at home for cake and tea on Sunday afternoons.

Wow it is going to be very interesting to see all these old pics!

From THIS photo (taken in 1945), it seems lion sightings have always created traffic jams

........ and driving off the road and protruding.

I remember in the old days you could buy slides (they were the big hit back then) of animal sightings etc. in the Kruger at any of the camp shops.

My folks took many photos. I will have to investigate where they are. Would love to share them here.... If they've been turfed, I'm going to be
