Unread postby Lesego » Mon Oct 28, 2013 3:15 pm

All Wild Card members, please note the following statement issued by Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife on 17 October 2013:

Visitors entering Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife entrance gates with a Wild Card, are required to produce proof of Cluster membership and validity in the form of a receipt or one of the following letters, received on purchasing of a Wild Card membership:

*Purchase,
*Application Completion,
*Renewal or Update letter,

In addition, we require proof of identification which corresponds with the ID/Passport on your letter or receipt. In the interest of our visitors, existing and potential Wild Card members are reminded of this ruling. Visitors without proof of validity and cluster membership would be denied free access through our entrance gates until the Wild Card hardware is rolled out and system training is completed at Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife.

It is unfortunate that the absolute chaos with the Wild Card is a never ending story.

The whole reason for the card is that you don't have to haul around paperwork that will eventually get lost.

Visitors without proof of validity and cluster membership would be denied free access through our entrance gates until the Wild Card hardware is rolled out and system training is completed at Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife.

We are not receiving "free entrance". We have paid for it when purchasing our wild cards.

Enzemvelo's lack of appropriate systems is unfortunate.

I recently contacted Wild Card requesting a letter confirming my current membership.
They informed me that these are no longer issued since the cards are not replaced. You retain your card from the previous year and it will be updated with your new subscription when you present it at the entrance gates.
No the entry is not free, we have paid it upfront!
Should we be refused "free" entry, we should be able to obtain a refund from Wild Card??????

Next visit late Aug early Sep en route to Gonarezhou N P via Pafuri border crossing.
