My fave road (s) has to be the S91/S92 loop along the Olifants River. Although it is quite short, I have always seen loads along this stretch. Particularly some fantastic elephant sightings.

The H7 can also be hot, and then into the S100. When they are both cooking, you cannot beat that!

I would have to agree with several of you that the Mahonie loop is my favourite road. I have never seen much on it mammal wise, but the birding is incredible and the scenery is worth it on its own! There is a certain "feel" to the road, as if you are going to come around the corner and find a pack of wild dogs fighting off 7 leopards while a white lion cub watches from an anthill.......you don't of course, but you don't care either
The Mphongola is also fantastic but I must admit to always being very apprehensive on this road due to several "exciting" elephant experiences in the past. If you don't know how to reverse on a narrow road...don't do this road

I ould go with the roads around Pafuri, and especially in the fever tree forests.. bliss

I plan to check out the S32/33/34/35 in Tshokwane area soon , never have had the time to travel that far from Tamboti .....

My vote goes towards the S28 & S130, I almost always seem to find Rhino and Lion there.

Lets stick to the topic and select our one

S30. Saw a cheetah with 5 cubs and 2 lionesses on the same drive on that road once.

Cool Canis! Was the Cheetah sightings on the Eastern side near Lower Sabi? They get seen in that section quite regularly!
There is also a leopard den 5km down the S30 from the H12 side

The S56 Mphongolo Loop - best road in my opinion. The scenery and tranquillity is indescribable.
The S126 Sweni River Road - not far behind. Great scenery too and produces some incredible big 5 sightings.

Definitely the S126 and the H7. I also enjoy doing the S90 onto the S41 then onto the S100 - great drive.

For me, scenery wise one can't beat the S63 Nyala Road from the Pafuri picnic site to Crooks Corner, the lushness, tranquility and tropical feel as you wind your way slowly along the twisting track and down to the little pull offs with views of the meandering Luvuvhu River.
The constant twittering of bird calls and shy little antelope of the same name peeping out from behind the vegetation is just the best.
Other than that one I honestly couldn't say which is for me the best road, I enjoy them all.

I am going to go for a road that a love to drive regardless of sightings. I love the scenery and the Terrain of the Muntshe Detour, I could happily drive the road and see nothing, just to be in the wide open spaces, the road is usually quiet and yo feel as if you are totally alone. It just so happens that I have also had some great sightings on the road.
