seems to be a colared lizard (lézard à colerette) but there are only in Australia :hmz:

Anne Marie, I am not sure how big your lizard is, but it looks as though it could be a "Tawny Plated Lizard".

"Large robust species measuring more than 50cms. Its rounded eyes and snout give it a rather benign expression. Occurs in bushveld areas of Transvaal, Moz, Zim and Zululand. Inhabit large boulder outcrops, but can be found in dry stony beds...

I found this picture on the internet, but the one in my reptile book looks much more like your picture. Your picture is truly amazing. You have managed to capture the colours so well. Knowing how difficult it is to get any smaller creature due to the skittish nature.. well done :thumbs_up:
