The top picture is the bridge outside skz on the way to Satara.
If you look closely just above the water level on the other side of the road, there where it seems as if its a dirt road (on your screen about 4mm big), thats where the water had rssen to during the night. Now look towards the right on the edge of the road. (A black spot)
That is the flood level marker for 2000. Scary? :hmz: :hmz:

Number two is in front of Nkuhlu this morning. See the reeds in the middle of the river? Yesterday- aikona reeds. They were submerged. Couldn't get a decent one yesterday as it rained too much.

Number three is from the floods in 2000. Not sure where though.

Heard a report from the traffic guys (yes we have more than one in The Park, you just dont always see them) that the dam 10km from Phabeni submerged a part of the tar road with about 25 metres, exactly where you drive in towards the dam

We intend going in at Phabeni - but can one get over the low water bridge there?

As far as i know the lowwater bridge is open. As for the dirt roads, most of them here on eloff street is still closed because of the mud. I am not too sure about the rest around PK and Phabeni, though
S21, she's closed. report says S114- she's closed, so 113 should possibly be closed as well. Today the option is Eloff street for Buf pies and Eloff street for Buff pies

The sun is shining again today, but they probably wont start scarping the roads before tuesday. It was so bad in the area that I understand Mariette, The shop manager at Croc bridge shop had to travel from Komati, into malelane gate and on the tar via Skz, just to go to work (she stays in Komati)
But Ive seen my leopard again this morning. Will ask Mads if she would help me out again to post the picture. I do not know how

A tropical storm entered the Mozambican channel and they believe it might go inland, affecting Mpumalanga and Limpopo…..

Tropical storm could hit SA

You can track Tropical Storm Izilda by using the following two sites…

Meteo France
Tropical Storm Risk

Current predicted path

Finally, it's raining in the North of Kruger. After a VERY dry season in the North as you all know, the 'buckets' is coming down. The Phalaborwa region had about 50mm on Friday night and it is still coming down...To be continued
