Hi BB,

That's not very nice to torment people like that. You should say something nice.

We had 2 sightings in Feb last year, first on the H11 towards Kruger Gate and then 1 week later, with what we suspect could have been the same pack not far from Skukuza camp.
They flushed an Impala out the bush and all gave chase.
I have new respect for how far and high an Impala can jump when the need arises!

In 49 years of visiting the Kruger I have seen wilddogs 5 times. Near Lower Sabie, Doispan rd, Eloff street, near Afsaal and Pkop/Skukuza rd. And all these sightings in the last 10 years. But its about 2 years since we last saw the doggies so they are No.1 on my wannamustsee list.

Hi frisian

Must have been the same pack we saw in December .But we saw 13 in the road but closer to Orpen but as you know Wild dogs have huge areas so I will almost definitely say its the same pack!

Hope you will be lucky. We did that road late September (first car on the road) and only saw Rhino. But then again, it was drizzling all the way from Maroela to just before Satara.

WOW!

I never heard of doggies not fleeing from hyaenas!
And certainly not simply sniffing one...

Those two animals are not exactly good friends...

Wow, that sure was an awesome sighting!

I saw wild dogs lying in the road in 1995, my first sighting. Saw them again at Orpen Gate - our first sighting for the day in Sept 2005.

Saw them on the S25 in January 09 early morning and late evening on one day. It did not look like the same group because the first mornings sighting had collars on.

Again on the S25 in March 09 and Sept 09. Definitely my lucky road!
