Henk, I'm following you around obviously :?

We also saw the aardwolf at MZNP this weekend, between the main gate & the camp. Probably about 3kms from the park entrance. A springbok wandered over to it & told it to push off :)

First time I'd ever seen one.

Not seen in KNP , but I was elated to have a chance sighting of what could only be a aardwolf testerday at dusk along a quiet tarred rural road passing farms stocked with game about 15 km east of Vereeniging !!

It displayed the same sort of "loping" movement typical of hyena as it crossed the road about 150 m in front of me - (un ?)fortunately I was travelling slowly at 50 km/h and it had made some distance into the grass by the time I drew level with where it had crossed the road , fortunately I had my binoculars with me as I was on the look out for the elusive brown hyena that has been seen in the area ... and I was able to make a positive ID that it was not a BH , or was it .... ?

I saw one in Limpopo province on the N1 about 20kms before Musina a couple of years ago at about 21h00. It ran across the road and stopped for a few seconds in my headlights just off the side of the road. It is the one and only one I have ever seen.

Sorry not Sanparks, but I got my first ever Aardwolf sightings this September close to Mashatu main camp in the Tuli block of (Botswana).
First at night and then first thing the following morning. Both in it's den opening. Sadly did not see it's full form in the open, but it was a thrill to see this rare sighting.
