have you ever spoted somthing really nice on the Letaba river road ,last year i spotted apride of lions eating a girrafe

Not exactly sure which road you are talking about but I take that it is the gravel road alongside the river before the dam on the back left of the camp. No map no number.

Leopard and her cub at around 14:30. My best friend was sitting in the passenger seat and bended down to fetch a cold one. As he did it, something told me to look to the left, just in time to spot the mother running through a clearing.

I shouted leopard and my buddy replied in true afrikaans: "k.@.k man!" I reversed back and asked him what that was then? A then the cub appeared. The mother wasn't happy with our presence at all and snarled at us whilst giving us the eye. They disappeared into the reeds soon thereafter.

Saw a huge male leopard between the H1-5 and Letaba river one morning at around 6:15. Followed it for about 500m.

Had a look at the map - that is the S46 and S44 you are talking about then WTM. On the map the road marked as the Letaba River Road is the S47 and is the road one turns left onto just before crossing the high water bridge if you are driving north. It goes to Mingerhout Dam. Certainly a very scenic drive but I have never see much game wise along it.

These were taken in April 2004 when there was a lot of water about and the Park was very green. Make you want to go now WTM?

If there has been a lot of rain before it will be lovely and green and then one does not see that many animals and if it is dry and brown, you'll see more animals so either way you'll win

April 2004 was the strongest I have ever seen the Letaba flow.

The S 47 is a favourite of mine in the Letaba area.

Apart from the scenery we've seen Leopard, pride of 10+ lions, and 200+ buff.

Taken appr. 1 km after leaving the H1-6 where the river (and road) takes a rather sharp turn to the right.

S47 has always been nice to me... last Jan it gave me a pride of 11 lions on a giraffe kill.

Haven't been there, yet. Very pretty.

Each pride of Lions specialise in a particular animal to kill. This pride that takes giraffe in central Kruger. man I would love to see them in action......

Think you're referring to the pride that make raffies trip on tar roads...? I was talking about the pride that makes them slide down riverbanks.

Well if you consider that there's over 60 prides in central Kruger alone, it's likely that more than one pride take the same animal

Oh wowee! I've never seen two prides on one kill. Have you?
