Meandering Mouse, I think your alias is exquisite! It has such a poetic ring to it: for me, the word "meandering" conjures up romantic images of green fields, bubbling brooks, and spraying waterfalls. Actually, I have this irrepressible association with Roburt Burns' "To a Mouse" every time I see a posting from you (although I've never thought of you as timorous or trembling!)

Thanks Safrica. But, is it not the mystery of what might be around the very next bend in Kruger that generates such a magnetic attraction to the place? Something like a gambler: is the next spin of the wheel going to bring that once-in-a-lifetime fortune!

Matthys, please don't use my alias in vain: telling someone to "OWN" up.

Same reason why I prefere the windy small roads, with no traffic :D Like the pvt road past Biyamiti Camp....So many corners, and thick bush, every time a corner comes up, my heart skips a beat......Not knowing whats on the other end! Great Feeling!

I am forever making up my own names for things.......
We have some beautiful finches in England called goldfinches; they go around in pairs or small flocks. A few years ago they started coming to our garden to feed on the niger seed we put out for them and we now have several pairs nesting in our garden. When a pair is sitting on the bird feeders they always face the same way and look just like Tweedledum and Tweedledee from 'Alice Through the Looking Glass' by Lewis Carroll. I started calling them 'the Tweedles', this is how we now refer to them and they have become my favourite garden bird. When I was trying to think of a pertinent alias my SO suggested Tweedle, and I love it! :D

And Tweedle, I love the origin of your name; I can see how appropriate it is to your fond memories of nature! Cool indeed 8)
