I was leaning more towards the Karkloof Blue . But Host PLANT and area being the same I am sure you and I have the same butterfly in mind.

Take it away onewithnature.

Thanks Rangerboy_Mkuze.

This butterfly has no tails on its rear wings. It is found all over South Africa and most often seen in the rainy season. The immature caterpillars are black, yellow, and white with spikes, and resemble bird droppings. The larvae are considered as pests for certain fruit crops.
Which butterfly is this?

:hmz: All the ones I'm think of have Swallowtails, except for the Wite Banded and Bush Kite Swallowtails but I do' know them to be (so called) pests on fruit trees. P. demodocus as very small tips and is considered a pest so I say...

...Papilio demodocus - Citrus Swallowtail.

Its not Orachrysops brinkmani, which is now known as Brinkman's Blue........It preferes the lower plateaus and has the wrong flight period as Rangerboy_Mkuze mentioned :D
