This cheerful songster can be seen almost wherever there is a decent piece of fynbos.

This one has me totally flummoxed! I saw it at Kirstenbosch on 11 October 2007. I'd thought it was a Karoo robin, and then I noticed that it has pale, pinkish legs. So now I have no idea what it might be ... can anyone help?

Thanks!

Hi Arks,

The long tail, slender bill and supercillium all point straight to Prinia and I would think this one is a Karoo Prinia.

I'm hoping I've learned a bit and am getting this ID right, I'm thinking it's a Karoo prinia? I saw the bird on 16 October 2007 at WCNP.

It appeared to be collecting berries!
