A brand new photographic guide compiled by Ulrich Oberprieler and Burger Cilliƫ.

Go have a look at it at your nearest book shop.

I very nearly bought that book. I have an excellent mammal pocketbook by Cillie. The Roberts won purely on price!

The book covers 809 species and excludes all the rare vagrants and pelagic birds. So I would say that makes it quite good for the beginner and medium-experienced birder. If you are more seasoned birder and are out there looking for the birds not in this book you'll have another guide or two in any case.
