Just a note to tell you how impressed we were with the service we got from the staff at Biyamiti during our visit:
The sunset drive was leaving as we arrived at Biyamiti.
My daughter asked if we could join them so I inquired about possible space for the following night.
I was told that the computer system was down (and they could not confirm anything because places could also be booked from other camps) but Ezekiel promised to leave a message on my cell phone the following morning when the office opened should there be space available for that night.
Then late afternoon our fridge decided it had had enough.
I only noticed the water due to defrosting on the veranda after supper at +-8pm
We were at a loss with frozen meat to last us the remainder of our stay in the park, not to mention the beer...
We decided to listen out for the night drive vehicle to return but at 9pm thought it was getting a bit late.
My SO then drove to the camp managers house and stated our dilemma.
Within minutes Ezekiel and his helper arrived with a brand new fridge on the back of their bakkie.
Problem solved!
The next morning Ezekiel left a very polite and clear message on my phone.
When we returned from our morning drive he told me he had blocked out the 2 remaining seats on the night drive vehicle so that it could not be booked from another camp.
Now we had to make a decision - only 2 places available but we were 2 adults + my 5and1/2year old daughter...
I asked whether it would be possible for her to sit on my lap for the duration of the drive.
Ezekiel stated that it would be up to the ranger/guide and told me to come to the office at 2pm to discuss it. I was pleasantly surprised to see Ezekiel arrive at our cottage at 1.45pm with the relevant indemnity forms. He had passed my request on to Sonika, (Ranger/Camp Manager) and she agreed.
We were thrilled, my daughter especially so and we had the most amazing evening drive - getting the big 5 on top of it all!
