Last week on Sunday morning my family wanted to know what I would like for Fathers day. My choice was a "braai" in Bontebok.
We only left home at 10:30, but luckily it was only 40 minutes away. Coming there we know that with the time on hand we must not expect to much in terms of animals.
The first thing that caught our attention was this dead Blue gum at reception.
On our way to the "braai" place we saw some beautiful flowers ,including this aloe with the Langeberg Mountain as a backdrop
During our braai we saw a lot of birds including the Fish eagle, but all to far for photos.
On our way out of the park we saw a lot of Bontebok, but all a distance away. Then we came across some Rooihartbeest and at last our battery did not make it to capture the Ribbok(some one please translate) and Zebra.
We shall be more prepared if going again.
It was never the less one of the best Fathers days ever.
If you ever get the opportunity to go there, please do, because it is a beautiful place with a lot to offer
