Saw this pair in August near hippo pool

I need some help with the raptors again...
Here is the first one :



Could this be a juvenile Bateleur , or another Eagle ?!

And is this the same kind of raptor?

Now, that is a 4th or 5th year Bateleur like I mentioned in a previous post. Notice the yellow bill etc. It will soon start changing, feathers to black, face and feet to pink and then red.

Here are some pics I took in October 2005 just outside Skukuza.




I thought the light was quite good.

such a beautiful bird. we are usually lucky to spot at least one on our KNP trips, and its always a treat.

we saw this fella in April along the river road from croc to malelane. a car came round the corner unfortunately and scared him off. but he was a beauty

Saw this one on our last trip ..

Saw this Immature Bataleur on the S25 in June.
Must be honest and admit that I had it pegged as a Brown Snake Eagle initially.
Just find the immature's so difficult to ID.

They have hardly any tail Elsa and are the sepia version of the adult!

I have only seen them up North. We saw this one close to Pafuri.

They are truly beautiful. What do they sound like?
