Ditto for those of us in other time zones, please??

Jonty, perhaps you could wait a minimum of 24 hours before giving (or acknowledging) the correct answer? That way, more people get the chance to participate 8)

I think it's a cool quizz and I enjoy learning, but often by the time I even see one new entry there have been 2 or 3 different birds posted and answered :( :x

:D Heres the answer:
a. Identify this bird
Harlequin Quail
b. At what times of the year are these birds generally found?
Since they are migrants, they are generally found in the summer during September to may. Their time of arrival, however, depends on the local conditions of food and cover.

Breeds October to march. They nest a shallow scrape on ground, sparsely lined with grass and rootlets. They lay approx 4-8 eggs.
d. Discuss the feeding behaviour of this bird and on what it feeds.
They feed on small envertibrates and larvae. They also feed on seeds of plants, grasses and weeds. They feed mainly late afternoon to sunset and food is pecked off the ground.
