Punda developments

Unread postby KNP Spokesman » Fri Jul 01, 2005 11:23 am

The developments at Punda Maria Gate include an environmental centre and a day visitor's site.
I understand that many of the exhibits that were originally dug from Tulamela Archeological Site will be displayed there when it is finished.
Further on the road, but on the left hand side (I think you can see the fence) will be the new day visitor's site.

Check out this: ... e_lift.pdf

Kind regards

Punda Marie Cultural / Info Centre

Unread postby Foxy » Tue Nov 01, 2005 8:22 pm

Cultural / info centre about 500meters up the road from the gate.
We visited it last week although was not yet officially opened.
Would be a good place for curios.
The vendors welcome all the support they can get from the public.
There is a picnic site there as well and eventually you will be able to hire cadac skottle.
Has thatched umbrella's and round concrete table at each site.
The area is enclosed with electric fencing due to problems with the ellies destroying the tables and umbrellas.

Foxy - the centre must be far more complete now since I took this pic in early October.
