I don't find a topic for this bird, so here's my contribution

These are the cutest birds ever, very common in Cape Town & they are extremely tame, I see them quite often in supermarkets & they are daily visitors to my dog's food bowl in my upstairs living room.

They are very cute... they become very used to humans.

It is the smallest bird that can "walk". Have a look at it. It walks one leg after the other, like us humans. Common(Indian) Mynah is another bird that walks. Most birds "hop" around.

Thanks for that intriguing info, WTM. I hadn't noticed that or ever read about it either. I love watching wagtails, very cute and energetic. And usually reasonably tame, tho I've never been lucky enough to find one that lets me get really close.

My dad has two wagtails who just digs cheddar cheese. He rolls it up in lil balls and they walk straight into his kitchen to come fetch it. Saw one once eating from the breakfast pan on the stove.

Most birds eat cheese. I sometimes put small pieces with the seed on my feeder and it last maybe 5mins at the most.

Here is another one: also seen at Hadeda hide: at first I thought it is a Cape Wagtail, but now looking at the photo??
It has a small supercilium, small chest band, BUT the throat is white with a yellow stain, and the flanks are also yellow???

What do you guys think?
