Bushbuck are found south of the Sahara, in forest and woodland, where they can easily conceal themselves.

Male bushbucks are bigger than females, ranging from 70 to 100 cm. Females are 65 to 85 cm tall. Only males have horns, which usually spiral once and are fairly straight, and grow up to a half meter long. Females are usually a lighter brown than males. Both sexes have white spots and stripes, both sexes darken with age.

Bushbuck are primarily nocturnal, but are also fairly active during the day. bushbuck are usually single, sometimes in pairs or in small groups of ewes and lambs.

Close to the turnoff to Jakalsbessie camp on H1-2

Letaba is a dead sure place to see these antelope.

Pitty the park decided to remove all the Bushbuck from Letaba. They used to be plentyful in the camp. But since a leopard made its appearance in the camp the officials decided that its best for the guests' savety to remove the bushbucks.

They never should've been allowed to settle themselves in Letaba in the first place.
Creates lots of opportunities for a lot of things to go wrong.

Not sure where you heard that from, but as of last week there are still plenty of bushbuck in the camp at Letaba. Maybe they just came straight back

Bushbuck were aplenty in the southern regions of the Park. Saw them all over the place.

Saw the biggest bushbuck ever today near Stilbay in the southern cape, but the best was that it was completely black

Ja Henk our East Cape Bushbuck are known for their dark colour...have a look at this monster Ram taken at Addo in full fighting mode!

Having just seen all the bushbuck pics it reminds me of a guy who was speeding on the H4-1 towards Skukuza & knocked over this adorable bushbuck.

I remember it coming out from under the car as i was following directly behind. It was still alive but died soon afterwards.I got off car & moved it from the road.

The murderer never bothered to even move it from road but was more interested in damage to his 4x4.

The best place to bushbuck in kruger are in those rest camps with river frontage. The bushbucks love the riverine vegetation between the fence and the water. Berg en Dal , Lower Sabie and Skukuza are favourites.
