What a great time we had up at/near Pafuri last June!
The most beautiful area of the whole park!
Further north, as we got closer to the S63, the vegetation became greener and more dense and we saw Baboons, Impalas and Kudus. Then the turnoff to Pafuri came…
Already after a few metres on this road we realized how special and unique this area seems to be!
Huge trees, dense bushes, very green, several views of the Luvhuvhu river – it`s just beautiful!
Afterwards during our whole trip we often drove along river roads but this definitely had the nicest scenery of all!
I was really looking forward driving here for the first time and I surely wasn't disappointed! LargeLarge
We don't like it when the grass is too long and it's to bushy so you can´t see any game anymore… but that wasn't the case here – visibility still was quite good.
We saw lots of Vervet Monkeys, Nyalas, Impalas and Baboons on this road (also further on to Crooks Corner) as well as Waterbuck, Zebra and Warthogs.
Just before Pafuri Picnic Site also a Nyala baby! LargeLargeLargeLargePafuri
was really lovely! Stunning scenery just next to the Luvhuvhu – the atmosphere was so relaxing and quiet! LargeLarge
We also saw several Nyalas there, strolling casually through the picnic site. Large
We also took a nice pic of ourselves – for this matter it was good we weren't the only people there!
Although there were just a few people around.

Unfortunately we didn't have time to take a long break here for a few hours (what we would have loved to do) but nevertheless had a nice lunch break.
While we were eating on one of the benches a middle-sized Water Monitor
came climbing down a tree just next to the water.
It turned around and looked at us – posing for a nice pic! Large
