Dear friends,

I have stayed at LB3 & LR2ZW @ Skukuza and I liked it a lot. Do we have any similar cottages at Satara
or any othe camp as i am unable to get these cottages for my dates.

Thanks

We stayed in a 3 bedded bungalow in Satara in Feb last year, if I remember correctly on the map it is one of the ones listed as BG3 in the B circle.
It had a nice extended veranda area and also included a microwave.
We had booked the LLB, the one luxury bungalow but when we arrived were told they no longer had that one any more and allocated us one of these.
Otherwise the only other one is the guest cottages but they are quite a bit more price wise, altho in the range of the semi luxury bungalows at Skukuza.

Have a look at the pic Here
you will see the extended veranda.

Thanks Elsa for your feedback. I will consider SATARA as per your advise.

Hi bushhugger, the type of bungalow in the B-circle is the BD3B. It is a very nice bungalow with 3 beds.

Hi Ruud, yes...we started there in the B circle in bungalow no 46. It was really clean and nice room.
We also had the African wild cat in our veranda in the evening. Absolute delight.
Also heard lions roaring somewhere close by at midnight. Spine chilling!!!

Hi
Just about to book some accomodation in Kruger. I'm too late to get what I wanted so have had to change plans and get something at Skukusa. However, I notice that for my dates (start of August) just about the only thing left is Bungalows BE2. Has anyone got anything against these particular bungalows? There must be a reason why everything else is taken but there are still 9 BE2s?!
Thanks for any help
Tim

Tim, nothing wrong with these units, try to get 55-60 which is the row closest to the river. Have a look under accomodation pictures to see if you can find a photo there. Enjoy!

Nope it just sleeps 2 people that's all and most people go in larger groups taking larger accommodation to save money cos if you think about it why rent 3BG2's when you can rent something bigger and do it cheaper? :)

Hi Carol

The Higher Numbered ones have a better view, from 7 up, the closer you are to the Guest cottages the better view you have.! the lower numbers have the Pool in front of them.

We are staying in a Mopani FB4 for 2 nights. Do any of you think it is worth keeping an eye on the availability in case a BD4 or a BD4V become available? Thanks guys.

Hi Graham - My wife and I stayed in a BD4V at Mopani in April and believe me it is worth it. There are very few units with a view of the dam so if you can get one go for it. We stayed in number 51 - one of the best views in the camp.
Enjoy!

I am slightly confused by this, when I reserved a unit for Mopani by looking at its map I did not see such, and ended up having a BD4. http://www.sanparks.org/parks/kruger/ca ... ni_map.jpg
It never showed up such accommodation type (BD4V) except BD4, FF6, FB4 etc. And still the said bungalow (51) is not showing up as a BD4V on the map.
But BD4V shows up in the availability form, how would you know where a BD4V is located, if it is not shown on the map?
Thanks very much.
