Jan - if I'm not mistaken - this is a Tawny-flanked Prinia or "Bruinsylangstertjie". My first ID of this bird was at Lake Panic (if I remember correctly), and I've seen them there often playing in the reeds since. Do the other stiffnecks agree? :hmz:
13-19 June 2015 - Lower Sabie
20-23 June 2015 - Satara
24-25 June 2015 - Olifants
26-28 June 2015 - Letaba

13 Dec 2015 - Nossob
14-15 Dec 2015 - Grootkolk
16 Dec 2015 - Nossob
17-18 Dec 2015 - Mata Mata
19 Dec 2015 - Twee Rivieren

Thanks for the comments..........

Meandering Mouse appreciate your kind comment and hope I can add value by sharing my images with every one:dance:

Hilda agree it is not the same bird. The one with the red eyes, agree with Bushbuddies, it is a Tawny-flanked Prinia.

I have asked my brother (Almost 700 birds on his list) and he confirm the first one is a Great Reed Warbler

Thanks again for the comments and views.

Super Mongoose will try to give more info...

LP is one off those places where nothing happens and suddenly it is action all around. I spend at least 4 hours for 3 days in a row at LP and luckily because of the heat not many people stay long.

When the action starts you must be ready, finger on the camera.

The young Malachite was begging for food. They were a little bit far for my 400mm, but keeper for sure.
