The following image has always intrigued me so I asked a few questions on the forum. KG responded and confirmed that it is real and did happen, he know the person in the photography.

Thought you maybe interested if you haven't seen this image. They are young Lions and the adults had moved off, but still ...............!!!:

The following day we left for Nossob after 4 absolutely, amazing days at Urikaruus. We really really didn't want to leave. We even asked Eric if there were 2 extras days ..... nothing.

The next few days were the hotest of this trip so, in a way, we were luck to be at Nossob with its pool to cool off in.

The yellow mongeese around the camp always makes for great entertainment. I have to share these images from a previous trip as I didn't take this year:

Thank you all for your contributions ..........

Thought I would give you a few images of the developments with the baby Springbok. I know some of my images weren't easy to look at so here are a few that should lift the spirit:

As everyone does when they in Nossob, is pay the hide a visit after dinner. We normally go down a little later to avoid all the people and stay until long after the lights go out. It can get quite frustrating with inconsiderate people making a noise.

Here is another way of looking at the insects around the spot light:

Our last night at Nossob and the KTP: always sad.......

Image

It was extremely hot that evening, it literally felt as if it didn't cool down until the early hours of the next morning. We went up to the pool after we came back from the hide ........ the lights had already gone off and we sat in the pool watching the bats skimming the water for a drink ........... inches from our heads. It was enough to cool us down for bed time.

The following morning we followed the Nossob down to Twee Riveiren:

Ok, I think it is time to disclose the location of the pic no. 2. Actually surprised that no one managed to identify that water hole. It's the dead old tree at Craig Lockhart. I have seen it in so many images that I thought it would be a 'no brainer' for all you die hard KTP junkies.

Maybe I should add an easier image ?

I must apologise for neglecting the completion of my TR, butnfortunately I have run out of days to reflect back on as we're helding back to Twee Riveiren from Nossob, on our way out of the park and on our way to family in KZN. But I do have few more images to post so here you are:

Vultures on a Gemsbok carcass between Rooiput and Leeudril:

Image

Image

Image

The long drive down from Nossob to TR didn't allow for much time to photograph the Vultures as we still had to get to Kimberley for that nights stop over. I could have spent hours at the carcass, but unfortunately time was against us.

I will upload a few some random images from KTP in my next post.
