Cape Town to Kruger....

A much needed break, a recharge of depleted "batteries"!

Don't fool yourself, IT IS FAR! :wall: ...... BUT WORTH EVERY KM!

I will try my hand at a TR, not promising much... will share with you our sights and travels, as the 3G will allow, over the next couple of days.

Here goes......

Hi Larissa - can also definitely relate, we are from Durbanville too! That long drive kills me but it is always worth it - looking forward to your trip report as we are off to Kruger end May.

Hi Larissa VW, fortunately you know what is in it for you, thus, distance doesn't really matter! Just make the trip part of your holiday, and it should feel much closer!

Looking forward to read all about your adventures and experiences!

The elusive 3 G looks to be more of a challenge to my TR than my lack of writing skills or creativity!

I will now try to upload some :cam: from Day 1 and Day 2

Try and try again :hmz: :hmz:

Day 1

After the long trek from the south we entered via Numbi Gate..... This fella was there to greet us
Image

We made our way to Pretoriuskop where we spent the first night.
We unpacked and wanted to take a drive on the voortrekker road, but was advised against it. It seems the Voortrekker's road surface is very poor at the moment.
Then we opted for a trip to Transport dam instead
Saw a whole lot of Ellies...everywhere.... And the usual suspects like impis, kudu, warthog

We returned to camp early, for a good night's sleep, so there wasn't much more in the line of sightings...

Dear Larissa,
I agree with Hilda - although a long road to travel, it is worth it. I hope you had wonderful sightings to share with us :D . I personally love the Numbi road early in the morning and late afternoon :D
