They look so elegant, so full of confidence relaxing there. I bet it was a different scenario when they all got down from that tree. Lions look like a bunch of clowns when getting down from a tree. Unique picture indeed, thanks.

How amazing Lions in tree :shock: :shock: have never seen anything like this except on National Geographic channel. I guess the grass could be wet so they climbed on tree. :hmz:

We saw a lioness in a tree this evening about 2km from Crocodile Bridge. Was about 100 meters from the road.

What a sighting :shock: it is not uncommon to see one or two lions in trees here in the northern Zulu-land parks but this something else :thumbs_up:

Wonderful sighting!

My SO and I were in Kruger at the same time. We missed this actual sighting but we heard people talking about it. Some were saying they saw it in the Satara area as well, very interesting. :hmz:

The lions in central Africa do it as was mentioned before. It's done to get away from the biting flies which do not fly that high off the ground. There seemed to be an increase of these flies this trip, as driving around with our vehicles windows open, we received several bites ourselves, which has not happened much in the past.
