That wouldn't be the Jackalberry right on the eastern verge of the H4-2 between the S25 and Vutomi Bridge? I used to see lionesses regularly in that tree some years ago.

Have also seen lions in trees in Umbrella Thorns in Manyara (of course), Sycamore fig (Nairobi NP), Marula (Thornybush) and way up in the remains of what was probably once a large Appleleaf in Tembe, of all places.

Last week (06 Dec) I entered Kruger through Croc Bridge Gate at approx 6:30 AM. 45 Mins later I had seen 4 of the big 5 with two seperate sightings of Leopard. We had not seen lion yet...

Slowly we began Making our way toward Lower Sabi on the S28 and i took a side road just shortly before DUKES Windmill I saw the most amazing sight.

Never in all my visits to Kruger have i seen something like this .

Amazing for KNP. Thanks for posting this.

Lions are often found in trees in the Tanzanian Parks where they rest in trees to keep cool and to escape from flies.

Not common in the KNP, but I have seen lions in trees a number of times in the park, as well as in the contiguous private reserves.

Hi.

WOW, that is an amazing sighting     ,

There was in fact a lot of sightings of Lions in tree recently which were also given on the Kruger Sightings app. It is surprising what the Lions are upto. I wonder what will happen to Leopards

A warm welcome to you szb :D

my goodness..... what a sighting 8) love the different poses. Looks like they have been learning a few tricks from the leopards.
