When in KNP, if you do happen to go via Satara, and/or Orpen, take a close look at the waterholes just outside the two camps - you will see a light and a 'white ball' .... those house the cams.

Danie Pretorius who manages the ICT for SANParks can log on to the webcams and pan/tilt/zoom them... when he doesn't have more important things to be working on

During this difficult period would'nt Nossob consider staying on line for the people who watch at night ? Alan55

As much as I like the idea I think that guest staying at Nossob will not.
Especially those who have their accommodation close to the generator
would probably feel quite disturbed by the noise the machine makes.

Is Satara Cam fixed up?????
Highlights are posted (on forums & facebook), I can view cam on my moblie phone but not via the webcams on sanparks home page on the computer.......

Please, any help on this will be appreciated!

Just look at this site by pasting the link in your browser, you will be able to watch Satara too.

It is the SANParks mobilesite but it is better than nothing.....

I have been watching the Africam webcams for many months and now am planning a trip to Kruger in August. Can you tell me the coordinates of the Africam webcams so I can plan to visit the sites I have been watching for so long?

The Africam webcams are not in Kruger National Park - but you can see these webcams (Orpen and Satara in Kruger). Orpen's cam is right outside the camp, just a few metres from the fence and visible from the road in and out of the camp into the park. And Satara's cam is visible from the fence outside the restaurant area of the camp, overlooking the waterhole there.

I generally like to watch the live cam. I am watching this at 20 minutes after midnight SA time, it is currently 5:30pm Eastern Standard Time. When I look at the live cam in Orpen it looks like it is noon over there, I can see alot of the trees in the background and everything, but on the still shot it looks like it should like midnight ?
Why is it like that, is it a different camera for the live feed ? I have turned alot of people on to this website here in the Orlando Florida area.

My bad, I finally got it to refresh and now it is dark again. that was weird.

Are there any plans on making the Satara and Nossob cams a live stream ?

We are launching Satara very soon, possibly today or Monday.

Nossob, unfortunately is a different story, we will not have infrastructure capabilities for a while yet and the closet ETA we can give is between 2-3 years.
