A sought after falcon for most birders. Seen mostly at dusk when hunting.

This particular bird we saw at the MPCA dam along Zaagkuil road in November and I wouldn't be surprised if you go out there now just before dusk and pick it up.

Previous personal sightings of it were at Kgomo-Kgomo, close to Matsulu bridge between Malelane and Afsaal, along the Biyamithi private road and at Shimuwini, over the river.

Hi I saw this bird on the 23 November and 24th November 2012 both days on the S120 about 2 to 3kms from the H3. It took me a while to work out what it was as it was raining and the bird was a bit wet.

Fortunately I've often seen them in numbers up to 10 birds at Shapwick Heath in Somerset (UK) during Spring/summer. I must be very fortunate to see them if they're rare. Also got to see the first ever Great (White) egret chicks that have ever bred in UK at Shapwick Heath last Summer :)
