A WOW sighting Timbits! There have been reports of a leopard taking AWC, but no pic evidence. You were also lucky to see Cagn again on the 6th of September. Was this also at Leeudril?

The Sept 06 sighting was also at Leeudril. I'll be describing it in my TR (Memories of......Red Sand - 2012) in a few days.

Absolutely amazing - thanks so much for sharing !! My favourite leopard but I do feel sorry for the AWC .... but good to know Cagn is a good hunter ..

Here are some pics of two leopards we saw near Leeudril on the evenong of 21 May 2012. I believe the one leopard is Kagiso, which we first spotted at the start of our holiday,(and had the hoNour of naming) and that the other is a new female, yet to be named

I can't tell the difference, so here are a whole lot of pics, and hopefully we can get a positive id.

Your pix with 2 leos - Kagiso is the leopard furthest from the camera. Your pix of the single leopard - I believe that this is a new female. She looks an older leopard and, going by the pix I would hazard a guess that she could be Kagiso's mom(can't see any flirting going on here, and Kagiso obviously knows her).

These are pics of Safran seen at 5:30 PM Oct. 10, 2012 at the Lifersdraai waterhole. She then made her way across the road and headed south. It's nice to see she is looking so healthy (at least to my eye). What a beauty she is!

Magnificent specimens of feline grace and power! And, of course, in Kgalagadi one seldom has to worry about obstructing vegetation.

I saw a Leopard at Lifersdraai as well... and I would like so much she was Safran

We have just returned from the park. Some snippets of information:
Ljiersdraai - a leopard and young cub has been seen at Ljiersdraai waterhole(late Oct/early Nov). Perhaps Safran.
Polentswa - a leopard is around and managed to catch a cheetah, carcass hung in a tree.(early Nov)
Kwang - carcass of jackal hung in a tree - 31st Oct/1st Nov).
Cagn - was seen near Leeudril late October.
The Rooiputs female has been seen at Samevloeiing(late Oct).
Miera has been seen at Montrose(early Nov).
Barolong has been seen at Kamqua - with 2 oldish cubs(late Oct).
Tsamma - we saw her at Urikaruus early(12.20am) on the 7th, in lovely condition, then a herd of Eland arrived and she hightailed it out of there.
We also saw a few spots near 14th borehole - a leopard's head at the top of a calcrete ridge for a few seconds. So fast - no pix!

Hoping that some forumite has a few pix to post.

A bit late but we saw this leopard on the lower dune road on 5 August 2012, which we think is a female, about 3km east of the access road to Kielikrankie at 09h45.....





Anyone able to ID the leopard from these pics - unfortunately, only got these views

I saw, this one at Lijersdraai, 22.9, waiting for a Hyena leave the present carcass
Could be Safran (I hope) but marked a plant with her head...
my question : female mark territory ?
