She went in to freshen up of course! (She was with a male friend)
Incidently the door doesn't latch - not that it would stop a lion but at least would give you some comfort.
Can you imagine sitting on the throne & in walks a lion??
Simple cure for constipation but.....

In October, we had the following sightings in/from camp:

Kielie Krankie:
African Wildcat (directly in front of the hut), barn owl.
At the waterhole: brown hyena, jackals, oryx, steenbock.
Lion tracks around the huts (but slept to deep to hear/see the lions at night)
Striped mice.
In hut: scorpion.

Urikaruus:
at waterhole: Elans, spotted hyenas, jackals, springbock
around the huts: spotted hyenas and cape fox, bats

Nossob:
In camp: jackals, African wildcat (several times, once with a kill: squirrel), ground squirrels, various owls, yellow mongoose.
Directly below the hide (!) and at waterhole: lioness
from camp: the lion couple that was mentioned before (as we went out for an early morning walk that morning, we could approach them with the rangers' vehicle, they had great voices!)

Grootkolk:
at waterhole: 2 lionesses with 1 cub, brown hyena

500 meters from Union's End picknick place:
lion couple directly
Oh - and be careful, there is a group of striped mice at this picknick place that walks over your feet and tries to eat your shoes!

Kalahari tented camp:
yellow mongoose on the terrace, chasing bugs and eating them noisily (it acted as if we had not been there).

Mata Mata:
suricate (meerkat) burrow in front of riverview bungalow No. 2 (during the day, they also walked through the camp)
ground squirrels and hare in camp

I am sure I forgot some of the animals, but for the moment..... I think that was it.

Nina
