A couple not so recent sightings, made a very short visit to KTP 7-9/Oct en-route Namibia.

Our most interesting sighting all came around Mata Mata.

This Cheetah with three cubs was hanging around Craig Lockhard mid-day on the 8th.

Late afternoon also on the 8th we came across the beautiful African Wildcat just outside Mata Mata.

A bit further south a Cape Cobra? had a go at a Puff Adder.

In the evening we did the Mata Mata night drive. Most enjoyable with another AWC, a Porcupine, a couple Cape Foxes and an amazing number of Bat Eared Foxes.

All the best, Michael

Awesome photos Great Dane  - thanks so much for sharing them ! Apparently in the Kalahari, puffies make up a large proportion of the Cobras diet

43 days of waiting.....

Been watching the Kgalagadi and Augrabies sightings like a hawk - every day, sometimes more than once a day - for weeks. :D

SO excited to read what is possible!!

@KG (Jannie) - in your experience will the Eland stick around for a couple more weeks or are things quieting down for the moment??

Lions at:

Samevloeiing with a fresh Eland kill (Sorry two Eland kills),
Lions at Leeuwdrill (Two huge black mane lions)
Lions halfway between Rooiputs and Kij Kij (Killed a Eland in the middle of the road)

@Morkel, the eland will stay for a while some of the eland moved back to Botswana but the females who have given birth will stay in the area for still a long while as they don’t want to move with the youngsters.

Have a great week.
